Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

When you contact us or sign up on our website:

• your name, email address and business name;
• whatever you write in a message, and the plan you’re interested in;
• for a free trial, also your business type, your choice of briefing sections, and the time you book for your onboarding call.

When your business uses the Preshift app:

• account details for admins and team members: name, email, role and, if added, phone number;
• workspace content: preshift reports, menus, notes, files, floorplans, messages and settings such as your business name and location;
• questions asked to Preshift AI and its answers;
• basic technical information: login times, device and browser type, IP address and error logs, which help keep the Service secure and working.

When billing starts, payments are handled by our payment provider. We don’t store full card numbers.

2. How we use it

• to provide the Service: showing your reports, sending team messages and answering AI questions;
• to set up your account, run your onboarding call and reply when you get in touch;
• to send account emails such as invites, receipts and notices about changes;
• to send product news, but only if you joined our email list, and you can unsubscribe at any time;
• to keep Preshift secure, prevent misuse and fix problems; and
• to meet legal obligations.

We don’t sell personal information, we don’t share it for advertising, and we don’t use your workspace content to train AI models.

3. Businesses and their teams

Inside the app, the business that owns the workspace decides what information about its team goes in and who sees it. For that information we act on the business’s behalf. If you’re a team member and want to see, change or remove your information, ask your manager or the workspace admin first. You can also write to us and we’ll help.

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted providers to run Preshift. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job for us:

• Supabase: secure database, file storage and logins.
• Vercel: hosting for our website and app.
• Resend: sending emails, such as invites, reports and replies.
• Anthropic: the AI model behind Preshift AI. It receives the question and the relevant material from your workspace.
• Meta (WhatsApp): delivering WhatsApp messages to team members who have opted in.
• Cal.com: booking onboarding calls.
• Open-Meteo: the weather on your report. It only receives your business location, never personal information.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people or the Service, or as part of a merger or sale of our business. If that happens, this policy will continue to apply to your information.

5. Cookies and similar technology

We use only what’s needed to make Preshift work: keeping you logged in and remembering your progress through the sign-up steps. We don’t use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

6. How long we keep it

• Workspace content: while the account is active, then for 30 days after it ends so it can be exported, then deleted.
• Contact messages and sign-up details: as long as needed to follow up, and no longer than two years without contact.
• Email list: until you unsubscribe.
• Billing records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.

7. Security

Information is encrypted in transit and access is limited to people who need it to run the Service. No system is perfectly secure, but if we ever learn of a breach that affects your information, we’ll tell you promptly as the law requires.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. You can also unsubscribe from our email list using the link in any email. Depending on where you live, for example California or the EU or UK, you may have further rights under local law, and we’ll honor them. Email hello@dailypreshift.com and we’ll reply within 30 days. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights.

9. Children

Preshift is a business tool and isn’t meant for children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect their information. If you think we have, tell us and we’ll delete it.

10. Where information is stored

Preshift is based in the United States, and our providers may store or process information in the US and other countries. Wherever it’s handled, we protect it as this policy describes.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new date. For significant changes, we’ll also email account admins before they take effect.
